“How much does a vending machine cost?” It's the question we get every day. The honest answer: it depends. But it depends on four or five concrete things, which we'll break down here. After this article you'll know which price bracket fits you.

How much vending machines cost by type

Prices are indicative, valid for 2026 and the Slovak market. The exact configuration depends on your space and assortment, so the final price can move within the bracket.

What actually drives the price of a vending machine

Capacity

Bull Classic 6 (6 products per row) is smaller than the Classic 12 (12 products per row). The gap between them is €1,500 to €2,000. If you refill once a week, more capacity pays off. If you visit twice a week, the smaller machine can be the more economical choice thanks to the lower acquisition price.

Cooling

Standard cooling 2 to 8 °C via a compressor is built into most models. AI cooling through the Smart Cooler (open shelves with precise control) adds €1,500 to €3,000, but creates a completely different customer experience. Freezing −18 °C in the Frost Food 5 costs another €2,000 to €3,000, but opens you a segment with almost no competition.

Payment system

A contactless terminal (Nayax, GP Tom) is standard on a new machine today and included in the price. A coin and banknote unit with a recycler (returns change) is an add-on of €400 to €1,200 depending on the model. It's worth it for locations with a high share of cash payments (public spaces, city centres).

Branding and visuals

Sticker wrap with your logo and colours: €250 to €700 depending on machine size. Paint job: €800 to €2,000. Full integration into the interior via Custom & Secure: individual (typically €3,000 to €8,000 extra). For chains and branded locations it's an investment that comes back through customer trust.

AI features and sensors

The Smart Cooler with cameras and weight sensors is a higher tier. For most operations a classic closed machine with precise tracking through the online dashboard is enough. AI pays off for grab-and-go concepts with short product expiry.

Vending machine running costs people forget

  • Delivery and installation: €150 to €600 depending on distance from Bratislava and machine type. For exterior and Custom & Secure variants it can be higher.
  • Internet connection: every machine needs 4G/LTE or Wi-Fi for the online dashboard. A SIM card with a data plan of €5 to €10 per month is enough.
  • Power connection: usually 220 V, a standard socket is sufficient. Outdoors a connection may need to be built, an electrician handles it (€200 to €800).
  • Refilling: if you don't refill yourself, an external operator costs €100 to €250 per month per machine, depending on frequency.
  • Service: 24-month warranty is included. Out-of-warranty service €80 to €150 per call-out plus parts. Annual cost in trouble-free operation €200 to €500.
  • Insurance: for outdoor and public space we recommend insurance against vandalism, annual premium €80 to €200 depending on the model.
  • Municipal fee: for public space according to local ordinances, in Bratislava €100 to €700 per year per m².

Vending machine: buy or rent?

A question we get from half the people who ask. Our honest answer: BullVend currently only sells machines. We're preparing rental for selected corporate locations, but it's not yet a standard route. If rental interests you, write to us directly at info@bullvend.com and we'll tell you whether your location can be added to the pilot.

When buying, the investment pays back at an average location in 12 to 24 months. A specific estimate is prepared by our payback calculator: enter the type of space, daily footfall and assortment, and within 60 seconds you'll see monthly profit and payback time.

If you prefer rental or a full-service model, we recommend looking at ASO Vending or Delikomat. Rental is their strong side.

Concrete example: an office of up to 50 people

We had a customer in Bratislava, an office for 45 people, looking for a snack and coffee combo. The configurator recommended Bull Classic 8 + Bull Barista Pro. Total price about €14,500 excluding VAT plus installation €350. Profit from the machines, at consumption similar to other companies nearby, runs an estimated €600 to €900 a month. Payback under 24 months, then clean profit.

Another customer, a hotel in the Tatras: Bull Outdoor at the entrance for tourists. Price €11,800 plus installation €600. Estimated profit in peak season €1,200 a month, off-season €300 to €500. Payback 18 months.

Conclusion

Short answer: a snack machine starts from €4,500, a coffee machine from €3,500, a frozen one from €11,000, secure and branded from €13,000. Side costs come to €200 to €500 a year in normal operation. For an exact price for your specific model, the configurator works it out in a few minutes.
